What is Mental Health ?

Mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act, and it influences how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

Mental Health Statistics !

  • 65% of women consumers actively seek products or services to improve their mental well-being.
  • As age increased, the prevalence of depression decreased, ranging from 19.2% of adolescents 12-19 years reporting depression in the past two weeks to 8.7% of adults 60 and older.
  • 87.9% of adolescent's and adults reported difficulty with work, home, or social activities due to their depression symptoms; 31.2% reported extreme difficulty in performing these activities.
  • A higher percentage of females (43%) than males (33.2%) with depression reported receiving therapy or counseling from a mental health professional in the past year.
  • Adults living alone were more likely to take medication for depression (14.4%) compared with adults living with others (10.9%).

  • Exercise - Exercise releases endorphins which have a mood boosting effect. Physical activity also helps lower stress levels.
  • Healthy Relationships - Healthy relationships boost mental health and well-being by providing a buffer against stress, enhancing self-esteem and fostering a sense of belonging. Positive relationships also provide emotional support and a strong foundation.
  • Sleep - Improves emotional regulation, focus, attention, memory and decision-making abilities. Sleep also contributes to a positive mood, increased energy levels and better physical health.
